Touring Atlanta Murals

This week we took a drive to see the Forward Warrior murals painted by Atlanta artists. We also saw a few of the Living Walls murals by artists from around the world. We wrote about a few of our favorites!

Yesterday we went on a tour to see art. We saw a lot of cool art from different artist from Atlanta. We saw a hamster that was a monster and looked scary. We went inside of a tunnel that had art in it from different artist. My favorite one is from Greg Mike who painted monsters. I liked it because the monsters looked really cool and weird.

Yesterday we want to see some very cool murals that are called Living Walls. I like the one that had a picture of Where the Wild Things Are because I felt like I was in the book. That was my favorite picture that I sow there. Here is a picture of what I like. It was very big it was spray pant I it was vary cool to see how big it was in person.

This week we went to see murals by different artist. I have two favorites. One of my favorite was the wild thing. It was made with spray paint. I like it because it has lots of detail on the wild things. I enjoyed looking at it. My second favorite was a painting of a fox because it had interesting patterns on it.

Yesterday we saw murals in Cabbagetown  Atlanta. My favorite was a painting of a falcon with a man’s body. It has graffiti in the background. It was cool to see the paintings.

My favorite part about the Living Walls trip was seeing the interesting murals like the dino mural. My favorite was the rainbow mural that was painted. It was so pretty, colorful, and long. This was the best feld trip ever!

This week we went to see the Living Walls. They are walls painted by artists. This is my favorite artist that we saw.  His name is Rising Red Lotus. I liked it because it has cool colors and was well done. It looks like an Army guy running for safety.

On Tuesday we went to see some murals that are painted by people from Atlanta. Most of the things were spray painted, and some were painted with a paintbrush. There was this tunnel that was all graffiti on the inside.  It was so cool to see all those pictures there. I hope you enjoyed this here is a picture of my favorite. I like it because of the characters.

Yesterday we went to see some murals. They’re all made in Atlanta with spray paint. This was a great trip because we saw a lot of cool murals. Murals aren’t like graffiti; murals are way, murals are way better than grafitti. I think graffiti is trash. There is no point of it, and sometimes it’s a gang sign. Murals are art, not trash. This is my favorite one, I like the way it looks.

Exploring Fernbank Museum

This week we had an awesome time exploring Fernbank Museum! We saw the IMAX movie, Mysteries of the Unseen World, and we went to the exhibit, Brain: The Inside Story.

Check out some of the highlights!

My favorite thing at Fernbank was the tracing where you had to trace over a star, without looking at your hands. You had to look through a mirror at what you were doing. It was hard for a lot of people to do. It was telling you to try not to look at the shape. It was really hard to not go outside the lines. While you look at the mirror and trace the whole star. I kept going outside the lines, but then I tried it again and I didn’t go outside the lines. Then I tried out the triangle that one easier that the star because you didn’t hove to go around lines.

Yesterday we went to Fernbank and it was very fun. My favorite part was the brain exhibit because I saw a model real brain. It was cool to see the real brain because I can’t see mine, but it would be cool if I could. I learned that parts of the brain do different things with your body.

We went to Fernbank yesterday with my class. My favorite exhibit or activity at Fernbank was doing the bubbles. You dip a metal ring into bubble mix and then slowly pull it out. The big bubbles were fun because you could back away and a big bubble would appear. But the little bubble would pop really easy. I also liked the disappearing candy. This is where you stick you hand in the box and try to get the candy but you can’t because it just a reflection of the candy.

My favorite activity at Fernbank was looking at an optical illusion. It was a box with a little opening to see inside of it. You could see a spring holding a peppermint candy. I tried to reach through to grab the candy, but my hand went through it. There was a mirror inside that reflected the candy and the spring.

My favorite activity at Fernbank was the gift shop. (Everything else was too gross.) It was my favorite because it had a lot of cool stuff and toys like The Tar Pits toy. It came with two different dinosaurs and goo that looked like tar. I liked to look at everything and wondered what I should buy. I decided to buy some goo and got Emma a cool coin. That was one good gift shop.

My summer class went to Fernbank. My favorite exhibit was a new one at Ferbank. It was all about the brain. One of the activites that it had was this projection of this person who showed different expression on their face. My brain was able to tell the emotions they were having.

My summer class took a trip to Fernbank and we saw multiple cool exhibits. My favorite thing that we saw was the movie, “Mysteries of the Unseen World.” I liked the movie because they have a microscope that can see atoms. That’s something that’s really cool because they’re moving atoms.

My favorite exhibit at Fernbank was the electric ball. It’s a round ball that has blue bolts of electricity inside of it. When you touch it, the electricity goes towards your hand. It made my hands warm when I touched it. There was a little kid with light up shoes, and every time he touched it his shoes would light up.
